The dental grill is a living symbol in popular culture, which has roots in the Mayan civilisation's ancient era. In the early 1980s, the hip-hop artists of New York embraced grills as the status of wealth and the jewellery gained popularity again. Since the jewellery is extremely luxurious, grills exist in a pure form only among the elite.  My work reflects the current crisis, which has once again highlighted the dark side of capitalism. Figuratively, the elite flashes its grills and spends a quarantine on their luxury yacht, while ordinary people have to cope with the frustrating lockdown.
